The Perfect Veterinary Radiological

Diagnostic imaging. Veterinary X-ray equipment.

How to choose X-ray equipment when diagnostic imaging is aimed at animals: selection criteria.

Modern technologies enable rapid and accurate digital imaging diagnostics. Features that are obviously indispensable, but by themselves are not enough. We are talking about a major investment; equipment with a lifespan of more than twenty years.

The type of facility and activity precisely defines the type of radiological equipment to be considered: the needs of a veterinary clinics and hospitals; the need or not to make on-site diagnoses, are decisive.

However, there are common characteristics that are very important to consider when you want to purchase or replace your X-ray equipment.

4.0: functionality and tax bonuses

Speed, accuracy and ease of use are taken for granted today. Specific attention, on the other hand, should be given to the technologies known as 4.0, and this is for two reasons: the first relates to the fact that today, in the 21st century, information sharing is a necessity, and the offer of being able to share radiological outcomes with patient owners has proven to be a great way to build customer loyalty. The second aspect concerns access to subsidies on the purchase of radiology equipment: in some countries the law reserves bonuses for those who buy (some of our Clients have obtained benefits of up to 95% of the value), but only if the equipment meets precise technological requirements.

Financing

Another important factor concerns payment methods: the wider the choice of different formulas and types of installments, the faster the machinery purchased will go to income. When choosing a supplier, it is important to choose those who do not just sell, but those who, aware of the typical dynamics of the sector, are willing to evaluate possible solutions together with you from an ROI perspective: the payback time from the investment; in a nutshell, by when the facility begins to obtain revenue from the purchased machinery.

Used veterinary x-ray equipment

This is also an evaluation point that should not be underestimated as it can also greatly reduce the cost of the investment. This is for two reasons.

Your old radiological is worth. If you have a used piece of equipment, no matter how old it is it has value. Many people simply take it back and dispose of it, but not everyone does that.

We, for example, value the used equipment we take back because we are able to remanufacture it or, if that is not possible, salvage useful parts for service. All this leads to a reduction in the purchase price.

Quality used equipment

Purchasing used X-ray equipment can also result in significant cost savings. In this case, it is essential to check the warranties, the type of assistance provided, and the associated costs.

The choice should be directed exclusively toward remanufactured equipment, that is, equipment that goes through a detailed overhaul and one or more technology upgrades that give new life to X-ray equipment with performance equal to new.

MULTIMAGE is also able to provide used X-ray equipment at a reduced price. We offer them with the same warranties as new, and with our exclusive assistance service:

Zero-fee operational support: affordable and immediate forever. "Zero-fee" technical support: no annual fee.

We offer only quality used equipment, carefully remanufactured, checked in all its parts and fully functional. Wide choice of static and portable solutions, immediate availability.

Training, Assistance, Expertise

A veterinary X-ray machine is a complex instrument that must be easy to use. It is also an expensive machine that requires adequate assistance service. This, in most cases, means additional costs, but the alternative of downtime would result in problems and lost revenue.

Therefore, when evaluating radiological equipment, it is essential to carefully consider the training and assistance aspects. Without real guarantees or specific expertise and experience, the machinery and investment would actually be at risk.

To our customers, for example, we provide immediate operational support at no cost for the life of the machinery. Technical assistance, on the other hand, is provided by our specialized in-house service center and has no fee; this service is also free of charge. Resolving any unforeseen issue immediately before it becomes a problem has proven, for us and for thousands of our professional veterinary clients, to be the real winning formula.

Choice of supplier: veterinary radiology dealers or manufacturers?

This is also an important criterion that is often underestimated and should instead be given great consideration. There are usually two types of X-ray equipment suppliers: those who buy and resell and those who manufacture.

In the former case, selling prices may be lower at the outset against a generally wide choice of models. The risk in choosing this type of supplier is related to the quality of assistance and on spare parts. Technological knowledge is significantly less than that of those who, on the other hand, design and build radiologists. Problems also often arise with spare parts: the supplier is unlikely to have a full inventory; in the event of a breakdown, downtime could last a long time.

On the other hand, those who design and manufacture X-ray equipment for veterinary purposes basically provide much more professional service and have an adequate parts inventory. The limitation of this type of supplier is in the choice. Veterinary clinics and anima hospitals already have different basic needs; not to mention the fact that each case is its own case with its own requirements and needs.

Settling for the "best possible" often does not prove to be a wise choice when we are talking about a machine that costs tens of thousands of € and has a life expectancy of more than 20 years.

MULTIMAGE is certainly a manufacturer: our first radiological machine came to life in 1933! For 90 years, we have been protagonists and leaders in the evolution of veterinary diagnostics by designing innovative equipment and conceiving patents.

But not only that, we are also preferred dealers.

In an effort to provide services of excellence without exception, we have established privileged business channels with the world's leading veterinary radiology manufacturers.
